Midnight Oil Entertainment respects the people who share stories with us. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it.
Information you provide
When you use the Tip Line, we may collect your name or alias, email address, report classification, location, report details, and whether you permit us to contact you. Please do not submit sensitive personal information that is not necessary to explain your report.
How we use it
We use Tip Line information to review reports, research locations or events, decide whether to investigate, and contact you when you have allowed us to do so. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Tip delivery and retention
Tip Line submissions are processed by FormSubmit and delivered to our Gmail inbox. FormSubmit states that submissions may be retained for up to 30 days. Copies delivered to our inbox may remain there until they are no longer needed or you ask us to delete them, subject to any legal or operational reason we may need to retain them.
Publishing and permission
Submitting a tip does not give us permission to publish your name, contact information, or personal story. We will ask before identifying you or presenting your account publicly. Information about a publicly known place, legend, or event may still inform our independent research.
Technical information
The site uses temporary browser session storage to remember that you entered the archive during your current visit. Our hosting provider may process routine technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and request logs, to operate and protect the site. We do not currently use advertising pixels or behavioral analytics.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
Your choices
You may ask us to review, correct, or delete information you submitted, or request review and removal of evidence involving you, by emailing midnightoilentertainment@gmail.com. We may ask for enough information to identify the material and verify the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or our practices change. The effective date above will show the latest revision.
